Peaceful and Wonderful Times: A Tranquil Vacation Villa in Kyoto Style

Embracing Tranquility and Nature

In the midst of the bustling urban society, there is a longing for a peaceful escape. The owner of this villa sought to recreate the serene ambiance of a Kyoto primitive household. With meticulous planning and a fusion of natural landscapes and modern design, Hsiu-Hsiu Yu has created a space where one can embrace magnificent mountain views and find solace from the chaos of everyday life.

This design project, aptly named "Peaceful and Wonderful Times," draws inspiration from the styles of Kyoto and Japanese garden landscapes. It serves as a reception for a vacation villa, with the semi-alfresco Japanese hot spring space as its highlight. Here, guests can soak in the relaxed and leisurely atmosphere while being accompanied by the beautiful scenery outside the windows. It is a sanctuary where one can breathe in and breathe out, finding comfort for their busy souls.

The uniqueness of this design lies in its ability to transport guests to a tranquil world. The villa's architecture and interior design seamlessly blend with the natural surroundings, creating a harmonious connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The use of the "Kira Karacho" pattern vocabularies throughout the entire space conveys a majestic image, while the arrangement of marbles in the foyer brings the primitive atmosphere to life. The lounge, adorned with Polyflush glass and iron pieces, beautifully depicts the mountain views, further connecting the natural sceneries of the interior and exterior.

Technical specifications reveal that the property spans 495.8 square meters, providing ample space for guests to unwind and immerse themselves in the tranquil environment. The design team, led by Yu Hsiu-Hsiu, has paid attention to every detail, ensuring that the design not only captures the essence of Kyoto style but also offers a seamless and comfortable experience for the guests.

One notable feature of this design is the hot spring pool in the master bedroom on the second floor. Designed with thermal and leakage-prevention features for the winter season, it provides a luxurious and relaxing experience. Additionally, the top floor features a hot spring cabin with a concealed shower facility, while the balcony grid and rest area are equipped with transparent safe glass sliding doors, effectively blocking out the winter coldness and creating a warm and pleasant vacation atmosphere.

The "Peaceful and Wonderful Times" villa was completed in January 2019 and is located in Xindian City, Taiwan. The design team's research focused on enhancing the internal emotions and feelings brought by the space, constantly improving and introducing pure aesthetic ideas to enhance the harmonious natural ambiance. The result is a design that offers a truly wonderful and immersive experience.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness. The "Peaceful and Wonderful Times" villa exemplifies strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
